IE was founded in 1973 by a group of entrepreneurs, and has quickly earned itself a reputation for innovation and quality. The city
IE’s campus is situated in the heart of Madrid, placing all that the city- Spain’s capital and a global business hub- has to offer right on your doorstep. Madrid has an immensely rich cultural heritage like no other in the world. The city not only boasts a host of museums, parks, palaces, modern and historic architecture, but also provides an invaluable opportunity to learn one of the world’s principal business languages- Spanish.
Social activities
There are a number of academic and social clubs that organize a host of activities throughout the academic year. As an IE student, should you wish to set up a new club we can provide you with the support needed to get your idea off the ground.
Currently there is a huge range of clubs including:
Academic Clubs (The Entrepreneurs' Club, Finance Club, Women in Business, IE Net Impact, and the Marketing Innovations Club etc.)
Sports Clubs (IE Football League, the Basketball Club, Tennis Club, and the Sailing Club etc.)
Social and Leisure Activities (National clubs, the IE Partners' Club, Gourmet Club, IE Out, and Bar of the Week etc.)

Accomodations
IE's Student Office helps international students find accomodation for the duration of their studies and runs an online database of rental properties for every requirement.
IE will also help you organize your accomodation for any trips that form part of your course.
