Aerospace Engineering

Aeronautical engineering education and research at KTH has strong traditions, and was established as early as 1919. In order to meet the needs of the world-wide aerospace market, KTH now offers a two-year Master's programme in aerospace engineering. The programme is mainly intended for Swedish students and students from European universities with which KTH has exchange agreements.

The main objective of the programme is to educate skilled engineers for the European aerospace sector. Students who graduate from the programme will possess:

good theoretical skills in aerospace modelling, analysis and design,
ability to approach and solve complex engineering tasks,
experience of project work and teamwork,
experience of working in an international environment, and
ability to communicate effectively.
The programme is a joint effort by several different KTH departments, providing leading expertise in their respective areas of research. The Department of Aeronautical and Vehicle Engineering coordinates the programme and contributes about half of the courses.
