Chemical and Process Engineering

The aim of the programme is to promote and develop students' ability to create innovations and new technology. The studies have a strong industrial orientation focused on pulp and paper, fine and commodity chemicals and metallurgical industries. The programme gives students sufficient scientific and technological knowledge for the career of chemical and process engineers in different fields of process industry.

Other Requirements

Applicants should have a BSc in Chemical/Process Engineering. Applicants with a BSc in a field other than Chemical/Process Engineering will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Students with a degree from University of Applied Sciences (AMK) are also eligible to apply but some complementary studies are required.

Students, who are still studying or awaiting results, may apply in January-February but the degree must be completed and the degree certificate copy submitted to LUT by 15 July 2009.

Foreign students who have not completed a Bachelor’s degree in English in an EU/EEA country or in Australia, Canada, New Zealand or in the USA must have obtained an approved English language qualification (a minimum of TOEFL 80 iBT/213 CBT/550 PBT or IELTS 6,0).
