The purpose of this two-year programme is to prepare the student for employment in the field of radio frequency (RF) electronics engineering. Skills of RF engineering are needed, for example, in research and development related to wireless or radio communication, global positioning, radio frequency identification (RFID), short range radio control, automotive radar, space technology, plus industrial, medical and scientific applications.
The programme aims at setting a firm comprehension of the underlying engineering fundamentals on which individuals can start building up their special expertise, already during the programme and later on throughout their careers. The programme provides student-centered teaching through relevant theories and practical insight. The methods of learning include lectures, group-work, readings, exercises, assignments, hands-on lab-work, and finally the masterīs thesis project. The teachers of this programme hold plausible records of experience in industrial and academic research. The departments that provide the programme courses have formed established partnerships with local and global businesses.
Those who hold a Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in electronics or electrical engineering, are invited to apply. The language of the programme is exclusively English, in which applicants are expected to have a good command.
