Master's Programme in Electrical Engineering

Helsinki University of Technology (TKK) offers a possibility for persons with a BSc in electrical engineering to join the Master’s Programme in Electrical Engineering to pursue the degree of Master of Science in Technology at TKK. The Programme offers a possibility to specialize in electric machines, drives and power electronics, or in power systems, high voltage technology and illumination engineering. The language of instruction is English. The courses start at the beginning of the academic year 2006-2007 in September 2006. The scope of the programme is 120 credits. At the end the participants write a MSc thesis counted as 30 credits. The Programme has been planned so that normally the courses can be completed in 2 years. The Programme is organised by the Electrical Engineering Group (SELA) in the Department of Electrical and Communications Engineering at TKK. The organization of the Programme has good ties to Finnish Industry. The students usually have trainee jobs in the industry during the summer after the first year. MSc theses are normally written on the job.
