Master's Programme in Forest Products Technology
The M.Sc. Programme offered by the Department of Forest Pro-ducts Technology at TKK is unique because it covers almost every aspect of converting wood as a raw material to a product. With us you can get acquainted with different areas of using wood and wood technology from sawn wood and plywood to manufacturing of furniture. In the chemical forest products field, our activities cover the products and processes of both forest products chemistry and pulping and papermaking technology. The new addition to our curriculum is education in printing technology.
The International M.Sc. Programme in Forest Products Technology includes the following majors: Wood Product Technology, Chemical Pulping Technology and Paper and Printing Techno-logy. The students can specialize in Wood Technology, Forest Pro-ducts Chemistry, and Environmental Technology within Forest Industry, Chemical Pulping Technology, Paper Manufacturing Technology, Paper Converting Technology or Printing Technology.
The M.Sc. (Tech.) degree consists of 2 years of studies: courses 90 ECTS credits and the Master's Thesis 30 ECTS credits. The applicants are required to have a B.Sc. degree of a relevant subject area and adequate command of English language.
