Master's Programme in Process Systems Engineering

Process Systems Engineering in the Department of Chemical Technology at TKK offers a unique opportunity for students interested in an international career in leading international companies in the process industries or related areas in Finland and abroad. The program offers a high standard of teaching led by academic staff with extensive experience in the field. The M.Sc. program is directed towards the fundamental and application-specific aspects of process and systems engineering. It emphasizes the multidisciplinary character of the field, paying attention to applications in chemical product, production and plant design.
The structure of the M.Sc. degree in PSE follows the new degree structure. The ECTS credits are used. The credit required for Master of Science in Technology is 120, which normally takes two years of full-time study to complete. The degree consists of studies in the major subject, the minor subject and the Master’s Thesis. The program can be studied in five major lines: 1) Chemical Engineering, 2) Plant design, 3) Process Automation, 4) Industrial Chemistry, and 5) Polymer Technology.
